I’m a multimedia journalist.

I’m a multimedia journalist, creating longform articles, radio stories, and last but not least, journalism videos and documentaries. My topics range from K-pop to North Korea to South Korean politics. Particular interests include diverse women’s stories in a conservative, male-dominated society; and the Korean population crisis, with the world’s lowest fertility rate.
My work has appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone, New York Times, NPR, Washington Post, Time and more. In 2016-2018 I was also the managing editor and video producer of Korea Exposé, an independent media that highlighted underrepresented Korean stories in English. From 2019-2022, as the creative director, I developed InterV, a short doc brand weaving journalism and experimental cinema.
