I create documentary films.

I started my filmmaking career in 2017 through journalism, producing video content for Korea Exposé, a startup highlighting underrepresented Korean stories in English. In 2019 I began making my own films for the short documentary startup InterV. Since 2022 I’ve been independently creating short and feature films.

In my films, a 70-year-old woman goes to school for the first time, stammering while reading a letter to her granddaughter. A young scientist studies the expansiveness of the time of trees, while confined to the tables of her Excel spreadsheet. A chicken, torn to tatters by his peers, moves in a cage while his owner sings a sad tune about the separation of lovers. My films have shown at the Korean American Film Festival in New York, Minnesota Film Festival, a special screening at DMZ Docs, and more.
